Summary: This is a story about a girl from Texas named Ella Hale. She has always been good childhood friends Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. Due to her fathers job she has to leave her hometown and move to California. Ella catches up with her old best friends and soon realizes how difficult is to keep up with Hollywood. She falls in and out of love and becomes the subject every teen actor and actress's gossip. Will Ella be able to handle the new found fame?

Chapter ONE:

"I can't believe this is actually happening" I thought to myself as I finished packing. At first, I was extremely mad at my father for making us move away from my home of 14 years. I was going to miss all my friends, my school, and my family. After I thought it over for awhile I realized this could be a good thing! When I told Selena and Demi they were so excited! I missed them so much since they moved to California to chase their acting careers. Sure, they visited me every once and a while and we emailed each other almost everyday, but it wasn't the same. I was going to see them a lot more now, especially since I'd be living on the same street as them! "Ella! Eric! Are you ready yet?" my mom called from down stairs. "Yes mom! I'll be down there in a second!" I yelled back. "Hang on mom, just finishing!" I heard my brother call from his room. I took one last look at my room, grabbed my bags and headed for the truck. My dad packed my things along with Eric's and we hit the road.
Chapter TWO: I stepped out of the car and took a good look at the house. It was beautiful! Eric and I ran into the house to claim our rooms. I spent the rest of the day unpacking and decorating my room. I was waiting for Demi and Selena to get out of work because they promised they'd take me out for dinner. When I was all done I took a quick look around. My room looked great! It was already 6:20 when I got a text message from Selena: "HEYYYY! Me n Dems just got out. Heading home 2 change then pickin u up!" I smiled. Still the same Selena, always has to change into a new cute outfit. I got ready right away, I had picked my outfit out before I even started unpacking! As soon as I was done the doorbell rang and I practically fell down the stairs! Once i opened the door my two best friends in the whole world tackled me. "AHH!" we all screamed. "I missed you so much! How have you been? I love your outfit!" we shouted at each other. Then we broke out in laughed. "It's nice to see you guys! I've really missed you" I said when I could finally talk. "We missed you too! I can't wait to show you around!" said Demi. "Oh hello Demi and Selena! its nice to see you," my mom said as she hugged them. "Thanks, nice to see you too Mrs. Hale," said Selena. "Hey Selena...and Demi," Eric said quietly as he came down the stairs. My older brother has always had a crush on Selena and she knew it. "Hey Eric! You look great!" Selena smiled. "Thanks, you too," he replied. Okay, I love them both, but they were making me sick. "Okay, well if you guys are done beening cute, we have a dinner date to go to!" I said. We said bye to my parents and Eric and went off to dinner.



Chapter THREE:

"Oh hey, I know it was just supposed to be us three, but I really wanted you to meet some friends. So we invited them to dinner with us. You don't mind do you?" said Demi. "Oh of course not! This is really sweet of you guys, thanks," I said. We rode in the car listening to music and singing our hearts out. All three of us had great voices. Once Selena tried to get me to sing at a party, I almost threw up. I'm way to shy to accomplish all the things they have, like going on tour. I could only sing infront of them two. I didn't even let my mom hear me, though she did sometimes when I was in the shower. We finally go to the restaurant. It was Italian, I should have known. They know how much I love Italian food. We walked in and I followed them to our table. There were a lot of people already seated. When we got to the table Selena and Demi both acted cool and said "Hey guys!" I on the other hand was still in shock. Sitting there, at the other side of the table were: Miley Cyrus, David Henrie, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. I have never really been a Miley Cyrus fan, even if she was one of Demi's friends, but I was in love with the Jonas Brothers! Demi took a seat on my left and Selena on my right while I was still standing there staring at them like an idiot! Demi finally noticed and pulled me down and I sat in my seat. "Ella, we'd like you to meet our friends. Miley Cyrus, David Henrie, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas," Selena said. Of course I already knew that. "Guys, this is our BEST friend Ella, Ella Hale," said Demi. "Hi! It's so nice to meet you! Demi and Selena always talk about you, good things of course haha" Miley laughed. David, Kevin, and Joe also said hi, but Nick was just staring at me. I felt nervous as heck! I was going to kill Demi and Selena later! They know I have a huge crush on Nick! We all talked and ordered our food. Nick would glance at me every once in awhile and it was making me feel awkward. "Why does he keep staring?" I kept thinking. As we waited for our food some fans came up and asked them for a picture. I offered to take the picture since I wasn't famous. Our food finally came and I noticed that Nick and I ordered the same thing. I started smiling to myself. "So what are you doing for your birthday? Its only two weeks away!" said Demi. Nick looked up and ask, "Oh really, how old are you turning?" Shyly I answered, "15". That was the first time Nick had spoken all night, and he was speaking to ME. "Oh my gosh, you should soo totally have a quinceanera!" Miley said. "Haha, yeah like the one Sel had in the wizards episode!" laughed David. Everyone started laughing, except Selena. "Its okay Selly! I liked that episode haha," I said trying to make her feel better. "Well, a quinceanera would be cool, but im not mexican," I laughed. "You should totally have a themed kind of party! Like the jungle or a circus!" said Kevin. "Wow, thats actually a good idea Kev, I'm proud," said Joe. "Haha, yeah I like that idea! But maybe we could come up with a better theme..." I said. "What about a masquerade ball?" said Nick. "Wow Nick, that's a great idea..." I said as I smiled and stared into his mysterious eyes. He did the same and we didn't look away for a few seconds. Demi finally broke the trans and said, "We better get out of here! It's already 7:45 and I told your mom we'd take you home by 9:00. We still want to walk around!" Joe called the waiter for the check and they all split it. They wouldn't let me spend a penny! We went walking around and our favorite store, Urban Outfitters. We were having so much fun when all of a sudden Selena shouts, "CRAP! its already 8:50! We have to go guys, see you later!" We said bye to everyone and started heading for the car. We were only a few feet away when Nick yelled, "WAIT! I need your number!" He started running towards us and again said, "I need your number...uh well, I mean, we all do. You know, just in case you wana hang or just...talk". He looked a little embarrassed and I gave him my number. He smiled, said goodbye, and walked back to the group to give them my number. We drove home and I said goodbye and thanked Sel and Demi. I would have let them sleep over, but I needed time to think.


Chapter FOUR:

I went to my room, layed down on my bed, and thought the night over. Had Nick been flirting with me? Hah, yeah right, but then why was he the only one who remembered to get my number? It doesn't matter because he's back with Miley. All these questions were running around my head when suddenly, I grabbed my guitar. I always wrote songs and sometime shared them with Selena or Demi. I started strumming the guitar and the words just start to flow right out.
Wow, I think thats one of the best songs I've ever written! I continued to play my guitar and write down the notes in my music book.


Chapter FIVE:

The next morning I woke up pretty late. I spent most of the night working on that song. I'm not sure if I should show it to Demi and Sel yet though. I went down stairs to get some breakfast, or lunch I guess. When I got to the kitchen Selena and Eric were sitting down at the table. "Morning sunshine!" Selena smiled. "Hey, what are you doing here? Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked. "Well I was going to but Eric suggested that I not, so we talked while we waited for you to wake up," Selena explained. I look suspiciously at Eric, who quickly looked away. "Well I'm awake now and I really need to talk to you Sel!" I said as I grabbed her arm and brought her to my room. "Nice place you got here!" she said as she took a look around. She sat down on my bed and I went into my closet to pick out my clothes. "So what did you want to talk about?" she asked. "Well, Sel I think I like Nick. Well I always have and you know that, but now I think I like him more. I know he's dating Miley again, but I could have sworn he was flirting with me last night! And I know you and him had a thing going on and I don't want you to get mad and-" before I could finish, Selena was behind me and I jumped. "Still the same old Ella. Putting others feelings in front of your own. Ella, why did you think I wanted you to meet him so bad! I couldn't just invite him though, so Kev and Joe came along. David said he wanted to hang and Miley kind of invited herself. I knew you would totally love him and that he'd like you too. I think you should go for it. Everyone is sick of Miley, even Dems! And as for me and Nick, well we both agreed we were better of as friends. Besides, I'm happy the way I am!" As soon as she finished I gave her a big hug. "I'm happy for you Sel, thanks so much!" After Selena's sweet talk I got ready and we were off on another adventure. We picked up Demi from the studio and hit the mall. We were trying clothes on at our favorite store when I got a text message. I checked my phone and it was from Nick. "heey ella uhh well I was wondering, would u like 2g2 the movies later? Demi n Sel 2 of course. Kev n joe r coming 2" I asked Sel and Demi if they wanted to go and they we fine with it. I texted Nick back saying, "sure! We'd love 2 go!(: -xoxo E". Nick texted back within seconds, "that's great!!! We'll meet u guys around 7 @ the theater!(;" We shopped a little more then headed back home because of course, Sel wanted to wear something cuter. After everyone was ready we hopped in the car and drove to the movies.


Chapter SIX:

When we arrived at the movie theater we looked around for the guys. Demi spotted them sitting at a table outside and Joe waved us over. Nick looked at me and smiled, so I smiled back. We got to the table and sat down at the other side of the table. "Hey guys! So what movie do you want to see?" asked Kevin. "Haha, surprise us!" said Selena. Joe ending up picking Harry Potter and The Half Blooded Prince. We got in line and the guys started to object, "No way, you guys aren't paying! It's on us," said Kevin. "Aww thanks guys! Are you sure?" I asked. "Yeah, of course! After all you guys are paying for snacks," winked Joe. After they paid for our tickets and we payed for our snacks, we went into the theater. Here's what I had been waiting for, the seating arrangements. I could tell that Sel and Dems were thinking it too. Before I could say something Selena and Demi grabbed my arms and sat me down in between them. Joe and Kevin sat down the the right of Demi, but Nick was still standing. "Uhm, well actually I-I was hoping to sit next to E-Ella..." he said awkwardly. Even when he stutters he sounded like an angel calling my name. I looked at Selena and Demi and they shrugged back. Sel and I traded seats and Nick sat to my left. "Hey," I said. I couldn't' help but smile. "Hi," I replied. He looked straight into my eyes and I stared back. I got embarrassed so I laughed quietly to myself and looked down from his stare. Nick smiled and looked forward, the movie was starting. About an hour into the movie I noticed that Nick wasn't watching the movie anymore. Not wanting to embarrass myself, I kept looking forward. Nick started yawning and stretching then slowly place his arm around me. We looked at each other then laughed. "Are you seriously trying that yawning trick on me?" I asked him. "What are you talking about?" he said with a sly smile. We continued watching the movie until I suddenly remembered something. I reached for Nick's arm and took it off my shoulder. "Whats wrong?" he said. I couldn't look at his face as I spoke, "Nick...in case you've forgotten, you're dating Miley." We were both quiet for a few seconds, then he reached for my hand. "I need to show you something," he said. We both got up, but Selena grabbed my arm. I forgot everyone else was even there! "Where are you guys going?" she asked. I looked at Nick and he told Selena that we were just going for some more candy. "Hurry, your guna miss the best part!" whispered Demi. Sel looked at us suspiciously, but Nick and I just smiled back. Sel always knew when I was up to something. We exited the theater and I quietly asked Nick, "Where are we going?" He looked back at me and smiled, "You'll see." We ended up walking to his car. He unlocked the drivers seat and told me to sit down. I sat down and waited patiently as he unlocked the trunk. A few seconds later he came back with his guitar. "I wrote you a song and I really want you to hear it. May I play it for you?" he asked. As his words processed through my head I just starred at him. Nick Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, wrote me a song. ME? "Um, Ella? If you don't want to hear it...its..its okay," he said. I finally screwed my head back on and it made him jump. "NO! Uhm, I mean, of course I'd love to hear it!" I said to him. He looked at me and laughed, then he started strumming his guitar. It had a really nice beat and sounded really cool! Then he started singing.

Chapter SEVEN:
"So?" he said. "So what?" I replied confused, my brain was still in shock. "Well...do you like it?" he asked. "OH! Yes, yes of course! That's the first time anyone has ever written me a song and w-wait. Why did you write me a song?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled, "You're very...inspirational." We sat in his car for awhile and I said, "You know, the paparazzi lied about you." He looked at me confused and said, "What are you talking about?" "You do smile, a lot, and it looks really nice on you," I said as he smiled again. "Well, I can't help it when I'm around you," he said. I looked at him and he looked back at me. He started leaning in to kiss me and I started leaning forward too. When we were just inches away from each others face, I turned away. "Nick...we still have a problem. Miley?" I said. I was still looking away, but I could tell Nick was looking at me like I was crazy. "Don't you get it? Didn't you listen to the song? I'm done with Miley friggen Cyrus! I like you! You're....much better," he laughed. "And I've been planning to break up with her for a while now." I sat there listening to what he was saying, but I didn't answer him, I was so confused. Why? Why would Nick Jonas choose me? I'm no where near pretty and I'm not as talented as him. He sings infront of thousands of people almost every night on tour, I can't even sing in my church choir. "Ella? Are you listening to me?" Nick said, "You okay?" I looked at him, "Why me?" Nick looked at me very closely. "I don't know. Theres just...just something about you. When I'm around you my stomach gets all fluttery with butterflies and mind goes blank. When I'm not around you, you're all I can think of 24/7. When you say my name, my heart skips a beat, when you-" I didn't let him finish his sentence, I lunged forward an touched his lips with my own. At first he was shocked, but he didn't pull away, instead, he kissed me back. We didn't have a complete make out session, we kissed for about the next 5 minutes. We both thought we had enough for tonight, so we just talked for awhile in his car. A few minutes later, someone tapped on the window. I looked and it was Joe, I had completely forgotten we were at the movies with them! Nick and I jumped out of the car and I whispered him to keep "us" on a downlow. Joe was standing with the rest of the gang and they looked at us weirdly. Joe said, "Why were you guys in the car? Why didn't you finish the movie?" I didn't want to lie to Joe and I didn't know what to say so I looked nervously at Nick. "Sorry man, I wasn't feeling good. I don't know, maybe there was too much butter on the popcorn or something. Anyways, I didn't feel well enough to go back to the theater and Ella offered to sit with me in the car." Joe looked at Nick, then me, then back to Nick. "Uh huh, suuuure," he said with a sly smile. "Oh man, you guys missed it! Snape was all like 'avada kidavra' and Dumbldore was all like blaaaah and Harry was all like 'NOOO he trusted youuuu!' It was crazy!" Kevin said, most likely unaware of the current situation. Everyone started to laugh and we chatted outside for a little bit. It got late, so we all said goodbye and headed home.


**writers note: The next chapter might be a bit confusing. It is going to be switching back and forth from Ella and Nick's point of view. I will color code it so it might look easier. Ella will be pink & Nick will be blue.


Chapter EIGHT:

Ella drove home with Demi and Selena, while Nick drove home with Joe and Kevin. When we got to my house, I suddenly got very nervous. Sel and Dems knew me too well and knew that something had happened. We got out of the car and walked upstairs to my room in silence. I walked into my room and jumped face down on my bed. "Spill. Now," said Demi. "Spill what? What are you talking about?" I said innocently. Joe and Kevin were staring down at me as I sat on the couch. "Oh please Nick, we're not idiots. Kevin's not the brightest crayon in the box, but we know when somethings going on with you and a girl. Now tell us what really happened with you and Ella," Joe said. "It was nothing. Really you guys.
