Lexi's friendship with the boys is a little rocky at first, so we'll have to see where time takes them.Subject: Romance/Friendship/Drama/HumorDisclaimer: I don't know the Jonas Brothers, or anyone else from this story, and it is entirely a work of fiction. Thanks. :-)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Chapter 1: Best Friends ForeverLexi watched her best friend Demi Lovato explain her new movie, 'The Princess Protection Program' on TV. The talk-show host asked Demi about her real-life friends- Demi said, "I have five best friends, actually! I've known my costar Selena Gomez ever since we were seven years old, and I always need her opinion first. I was in 'Camp Rock' with the Jonas Brothers, they're amazing, complete gentleman, and down-to-earth." Demi paused for a moment then continued. "I guess I have a lot of famous best friends!" she laughed, "I'm really close to Lexi Gold, she's an incredible girl, and we've got each others' backs. I can't believe I've only known her for a few years, she's the best!" Lexi smiled. She knew Demi meant every word she said. She turned off the TV and texted Demi. To be honest, Lexi and Demi had only known each other for three years, but they had been best friends from day one. Demi responded back that she had a big surprise waiting... Lexi shrugged and closed her cell phone. Well, that wasn't vague at all! she thought.Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers were finally relaxing in Joe's dressing room after a full day of shooting their Disney Channel original series JONAS. Nick looked under Joe's couch-- pretending to gag, he said, "When was the last time you cleaned under here?" Joe said, "Oh, you know, like September... what does it matter anyway? I know where everything is!" Nick frowned and said, "I'll tell mom you yelled at me!" Joe began to respond, but Kevin cut in. "Hey, we have enough going on, you guys don't need to be fighting, too." Joe and Nick looked guilty for about a half a second, then Joe winked at Nick and said smoothly, "Kevin, I found this under your pillow this morning..." He held up a picture of Ashley Tisdale. Kevin stared at Joe and said, "Um, that's not mine. I have no idea how that got into my bedroom." The boys' argument was interupted by Nick's phone ringing. It was Demi. "Is it okay if Selena and I stop by the set?" She asked. Nick said, "Sure, we're not busy... cut it OUT, you guys!" Joe and Kevin were still bickering loudly from across the room. "Sorry," they responded in unison. Demi added, "Do you mind if we bring someone along? She's kind of a good friend of mine." Joe was listening over Nick's shoulder. "Since when do you ask permission before coming over?" He grinned. Nick said, "Joe, if I meant for you to hear this, I would have put it on speaker!""I'm still here, guys!"Nick said, "Sorry, Demi. It's fine, bring whoever you want. We really don't mind." They said goodbye and hung up. Demi smiled, this plan was going surprisingly well.Chapter 2: Surprise!Lexi, Demi, and Selena spent most of the day shopping and laughing. Then Selena said, "Okay, Lexi, we've waited long enough to tell you this..." Demi picked up the conversation, "We're taking you to meet some friends of ours, since you're probably going to meet them sooner or later. They film their show right next door to yours." Selena finished the sentance, "You have to meet the Jonas Brothers. They're amazing." Lexi said, "I was hoping you guys would say something like that-- because a girl can't just walk over to another set and say hi! That would be way too akward." She laughed. "But I'm not going to be nervous just yet!" Demi and Selena exchanged happy looks. Selena said, "Well, if you want to meet them, we have to go now!" Lexi frowned. "Whoa, now? Can't I just walk over to another set and say hi?"About thirty minutes later, the girls arrived at Disney's studio. Lexi had auditioned and landed a regular part in the hit series Hannah Montana, starring Miley Cyrus. It was barely Lexi's first week on the show, but her and Miley had already become friends. Selena knocked on Joe's dressing room door... on the third knock, it opened by itself. Nick and Kevin stood in the middle of the room, surrounded by various props. Joe had a video camera set up in the corner, and when the door opened, he yelled, "Cut!" Demi smiled and teased, "I think we're interupting another Joe Jonas production. What great film was it this time, director?" Joe smirked. "Ha-ha. Cute. I'll have you know that we're getting a ton of hits on YouTube right now!" Selena said, "Anyway, we didn't come just to be the audience for Joe's latest comedy episode..." Demi responded, "Right. Lexi wanted to meet you guys." Lexi smiled nervously. Joe and Kevin stepped forward to say hello, but Nick just stared and suddenly dropped the oversized beach-ball he was holding (apparently a prop for their video). "You don't have to introduce yourselves, I know who you are!" Lexi said. Kevin looked to his side and said, "Where's Nick?... oh, there he is. Get over here." Nick smiled and said quietly, "Hi. It's nice to meet you." Kevin added, "Yeah, we're big fans. Especially Nick-- but I guess you can tell by the look on his face!" Nick was blushing. Lexi laughed and said, "I'm a huge fan of you guys, too." Joe looked excited now. "Are we gonna stand around talking, or are we gonna give Lexi a tour of the set?" Kevin agreed, "Of course. No gets a new part on a show around here without a tour! Whaddya say, Nick?" He looked over to where Nick was standing akwardly. "Uh, sure. Everyone needs a tour. It's a wonder Joe didn't get lost the first time we came here..." He smiled. Joe said sarcastically, "Oh, it's 'Pick On Joe Day,' isn't it?" Everyone laughed. After the tour, Kevin, Joe and Nick took Lexi to lunch. And, after a brief arguement over who was going to pay, they said goodbye. The first thing Demi told Lexi was, "Didn't I tell you? I knew you'd be friends!"Chapter 3: Just FriendsIt had been almost a week since Lexi met the boys. They had been good friends to her already, and she felt extremely comfortable around them. Friday night, after a live taping of her show, Lexi met Nick at the buffet. She hadn't really gotten a chance to talk to him alone yet, so she smiled and said, "Hey, Nick. I like your timing, I just got off from a live taping." Nick said conversationally, "Wow, I'm glad we don't have an audience for our show... it'd be chaos!"
