I was in the kitchen helping Denise prepare for dinner. The rest of the guys where in the living room playing rock band. “So Meka how are you doing these days?” She asked. “Things are going quite well, I’m so glad they’re home now.” I said putting the glasses on the Table. “And who do you really miss?” Denise teased. “Kevin.” I said laughing. Denise smiled. “I’ve always knew that you two was always close.” She said. “Yea Kevin means a lot to me.” Kevin was eaves dropping in the hallway, he had smile once He herd me say that.. “I really have to tell her.” Kevin whispered. “What’s up dude?” Joe ran in her. “Nothing, um I was just seeing how long dinner was.” Kevin lied. “Dinner is ready guys.” I said smiling at Kevin. Then we all went to the living room. We was all laughing and having a good time. Frankie was acting like an idiot. “Do you remember when Kevin and Meka had there 1st kiss?” Frankie teased. I had placed my hands over my forehead with embarrassment. “Frankie” I whined. “No, Frankie tell us all about it.” Joe teased. My jaws dropped out. “I think it was when they was in the 6th grade and it was summer vacation around the 4th of July.” Frankie said. “How does he remember that?” I asked. Kevin shrugged. “Um mom can I be excused?” Kevin asked. “Sure.” She said. “Meka, we got to talk.” Kevin said grabbing my arms. Everyone looked odd. “Kevin, what’s wrong?” I asked. Kevin didn’t say anything. He leaned into kiss me. It was so powerful and passionate. Kevin wrapped his arms around my neck. I could feel total bliss. He finally released his lips from mine. I just stood there in silence and in shock. “I am so sorry.” Kevin said looking down. “It’s fine Kevin. I loved it.” I said. “You did?” His voice raised with praise and excitement. “Yea… it was weird but in a good way.” I chuckled. “So, what happens now?” He asked. “Don’t you date that girl Danielle?” I asked. “Oh yea this is wrong.” said Kevin. The doorbell rings, Danielle was coming to dinner . Denise Invited her. “Ill get that.” Said Kevin I was just like whatever, Joe saw how upset I was. I took a deep sigh. “Hi…Mrs. Jonas.” Danielle speaks while hugging her. “I’m going to eat in the kitchen.” I said taking my plate and my champagne glass. Joe looked odd. I slammed my plate down on the table. Joe walked in the kitchen. “Need some company?” He asked. “No Joe you don’t have to--- “It’s fine Meka. So what‘s up with you and Kevin?” He said. “Nothing is up.” I said. Joe gave me that look as if I was lying. “Come on Meka, I know how much you love Kevin.” He said. I looked back up at Joe and smiled. Joe tossed some of his hair out of his face. “Okay I really love Kevin like almost more than anything.” I told him. “Awe.” Joe teased. “I’m serious. I really love him. I can’t love him because of Danielle.” I said with more evilness. “Well, ever thought about moving on?” Joe asked. “No not at all. I got to have fate, and fate with bring Kevin and I together.” I said. Joe nods with agreement. Yet he looked upset. I noticed a little, but I didn’t say anything. “I know how to make you feel better.” He told me. “How?” I asked raising my right eyebrow up playfully. “Only you and I go to the beach after dinner.” He suggested. “Just you and me?” I asked. “Yea, just us.” He said. I smiled at him, he smiled back at me with love in his eyes. “Hey, what’s up?” Kevin asked coming in with Danielle. “Nothing.” I said over him. Danielle looked up at him. “Meka, cannot stand me can she?” Danielle asked Kevin. “No she loves you she told me once that you’re like a sister to her.” Kevin said. Joe raised both of his eyebrows up and down fast. “Riiight.” Joe said under his breath. “Ill go talk to her.” Kevin said. I was in my studio room. Whenever my parents go out of town I stay over there for a couple of months. I was getting ready to go to the beach with Joe. I was putting on my bikini. Kevin ran in on me. “KEVIN!” I yelled. “Sorry, sorry.” He said covering his eyes he peeked a little. “What is it?” I asked putting on my bikini top. “Its about Danielle and I?” He said removing his hands. “I really don’t care!” I shouted. “Meka, as much as I want to be with you--- “Then be with me Kevin!!” I cried. “It can’t go down like that.” He said touching both of my shoulders he was on his knees and I was on my bed crying. I couldn’t take it any longer. I leaned into kiss Kevin again. “No one doesn’t have to know about us.” I said lacing my hands with mine. Kevin kissed me once more. He got on top of me. “We really can’t do this.” Kevin said showing me his purity ring. I buried my head in his chest.
